Q. What are the advantages to pre-pay?

A. Prepayment is less costly to you and enables us to deliver pictures back to the school more quickly than other photography companies. Another advantage to pre-payment is that we offer digital airbrushing, which is available only through Kids at Heart. Digital airbrushing removes cuts, bruises, stray hairs, stains, etc., from your child’s photograph. This service, which costs only $10, can only be done with pre-paid packages.

Q. What is the “bonus” ?

A. The bonus for preschools/daycares is 11 photos (2-4X6 & 9 – 1.5 X 2) in addition to those listed in the packages. The bonus for elementary schools is 25 – 1.5 x 2 photos. The bonus is one photo sheet and offers a discount up to 50% off the standard sheet price for this item.

Q. Can siblings be photographed together?

A. If it is permitted by your school we will gladly take sibling photos. For elementary schools, siblings will only be taken on make-up photo day.

Q. How do I fill out the envelope if I want my children photographed together and/or separately?

A. You will need one envelope for the order of the children together and a separate envelope for each of the children being photographed separately. For the sibling photo, write all children’s names on the envelope and write “Together” above their names on the envelope. If you need additional envelopes, please see your school director or contact us directly at least two weeks prior to your school’s photo day. If you only purchase a package of your children together, please remember that only one class photo is included in each package. If your children are in different classes, you may want to order a separate class photo for the other child.

Q. Can I bring in a sibling that does not attend the school?

A. Kids at Heart will photograph your children. However, you should first get approval from the school director.

Q. Can I split a package between my two children?

A. No. Due to our lab printing process, packages may not be split and photo sheets can not be altered from what is already included in a package.

Q. Can I order just one photo sheet?

A. No. Original orders only offer photo sheets in packages. Photo sheets cannot be purchased unless they are added to a package.

Q. What can I order if I don’t want a package?

A. You can order any item listed under our best sellers on the order form. All Best Sellers are previewed on the back of your order form.

Q. Who decides the background?

A. The director of the school is responsible for selecting the background that we use. Kids At Heart sends a background sample sheet to the director. Once a selection is made, we send 8 X 10 samples of the background to the school for the director to post. By posting the samples at the schools, parents can coordinate clothing for their children. Contact your director to find out the background selected for your school.

Q. Who prepares my child for pictures?

A. With our attention to detail, we will make sure that hair is not out of place, clothing is straightened, etc. We will provide a comb for each child. Your child’s teacher will be responsible for making sure the child’s hair is combed.

Q. If I like the picture can I order more?

A. Yes. When you receive your pictures there will be a Parent Catalog inside. Your child’s photo number will be printed on the back of any photo sheet. Individual photo sheets as well as all of our products are available for reorder. Reorders can be placed online, through the mail or by calling Customer Service

Q. Can I re-order an entire package?

A. No. Package reorders are only available on your child’s original picture day. All Best Sellers are previewed on the back of your order form.

Q. If I don’t like my pictures, what can I do?

A. We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on all of our pictures and most of our products. The only product that is not returnable is the Photo Throw Series (Large Throw, Mini-Throw & Pillow). If you are unsatisfied, for any reason, you simply return your order to us via regular U.S. Mail and we will promptly refund your money. All refund checks are processed once per week on Fridays. Please note that we do not refund postage. Please do not send returns via Certified Mail. If you decide to keep the class picture, we will deduct the cost from your refund. You will need to complete the Return Form on your Parent Catalog or print the Return Form from our Customer Service page on this website to include with your returned order.

Q. Do you offer retakes?

A. In general, we provide a retake day only for elementary schools through high school. We do not have retake days at preschools & daycares. It is best to check with your school regarding the availability of a retake day

Q. If my school does have a retake day, how do I have my child’s photo retaken?

A. Have your child return the original order to the photographer on picture day (please keep the class photo if it was included with your order). The photographer will retake the photo and your order will be reprocessed with the new photo. Please note that we will only reprocess a retake once we have received the original photo order. The original order must be returned to the photographer on retake day to assure that the retake photo is processed.

Q. What is Professional Digital Airbrushing?

A. With this service our trained lab technicians remove cuts, bruises, stray hairs, and stains from your child’s picture. Permanent marks will not be removed unless requested. A sample is shown on the Customer Service page of this website.

Q. Can I send my pictures back to have them airbrushed?

A. No. Airbrushing can only be done with your original order. We cannot accept payment for airbrushing after you have received your pictures.

Q. Can I reorder pictures with airbrushing?

A. Yes. If you would like to re-order pictures and add airbrushing, the airbrushing will be done for the reordered photos only.

Q. How long does it take to process a reorder?

A. Generally, we guarantee reorders to be shipped within two (2) weeks of receipt of the order. However, if you need to receive your reorder sooner, we can make arrangements to accommodate most requests.

Q. What happens if my check is returned from the bank?

A. Any returned checks may be electronically re-deposited. Service fees may be applied. SureTrust Financial Solutions, Inc. handles all of our returned checks. If you have a question about a returned check, please contact SureTrust directly at 1-877-787-3878.

Q. When will my order be delivered to the school?

A. All photos are guaranteed to be delivered to the school within four weeks from the photo date.

Q. What do I do if there is an error in my order?

A. Within 10 days of your receipt of the pictures, contact our office at (609) 888-0600 or email us at service@kahphoto.com. Our customer service representatives are here to assist you with any orders and promptly correct any errors. Please be prepared to provide your photo number (found on the back of any photo sheet) as well as your child’s name and school name and the error that needs to be corrected.

Q. What is the Memory Mate?

A. This is actually an 8 X 10 color print that is digitally created to show your child’s 3 X 5 individual photo, the school name and year and a 5 X 7 class photo at the bottom.

Q. How many Personalized Trading Cards do I get for $15.00?

A. You receive 8 – 2.5 X 3.5 size trading cards when you order the Personalized Trading Cards. If the Trading Cards are for a sports team, please complete all of the detailed information on your order envelope so that we can fully personalize the back of the card.

Q. Can the ceramic mugs be run through the dishwasher?

A. The ceramic mugs are considered dishwasher and microwave safe but we recommend that they be hand-washed.

Q. Do the photo throws come in color?

A. No. All products in the photo throw series are produced in black and white.

Q. If I use my own photo for a photo throw item, will it be returned to me?

A. Yes. When you receive your completed photo throw series order, your original photo will be returned along with the product.
